1. About YokeConnect

https://yokeconnect.com and the YokeConnect web Platform are operated by YokeConnect Ltd, company number 17334598, registered office The Pagoda, 30 Avenue Road, Bournemouth, BH2 5SL, United Kingdom. "YokeConnect", "we", "us" and "our" refer to that company.

By accessing the website, creating an Account or using the Platform, you agree to these terms. The Candidate Access Terms also apply to free Candidate access. The Employer Subscription Terms apply to paid Employer access and the Business Demo and prevail for Employer access and payment matters.

2. Definitions

Account means a registered user account. Candidate means an individual using YokeConnect for professional opportunities. Employer means a business or authorised business user using YokeConnect for recruitment. Platform means the public website and authenticated web services. Content means text, images, jobs, profiles, messages, documents, software and other material available through the Platform. User means any visitor or registered user.

3. Eligibility

You may browse public information without an Account. Candidate Accounts are intended for people aged 16 or over. If a Candidate is under 18, parent or guardian approval may be required. Employer users must be at least 18 and authorised to act for the relevant business.

You must be legally able to use the Platform in your location and comply with local law. Some features, payment methods or roles may not be available in every country.

4. Accounts

You must provide accurate information, verify required contact details, keep credentials confidential and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity under your Account. Candidate Accounts are personal. Employer access must use named Authorised User accounts rather than shared credentials.

We may require security checks, email verification, business review or additional information before enabling features. We may reject, restrict or close duplicate, fraudulent, misleading or unsafe Accounts.

5. Platform access and launch phases

YokeConnect may release features in stages, including public information, waitlist, early access and full Platform access. A feature shown in development, a roadmap, demonstration or promotional material is not available until it is enabled for your Account.

At launch YokeConnect is a responsive web Platform. These terms do not describe a native iOS or Android application, YokeCourses or YokeConnect-issued training certificates.

6. Platform role

YokeConnect provides technology that enables hospitality businesses and professionals to connect directly. We do not employ Candidates, make hiring decisions, guarantee job legitimacy or Candidate accuracy, negotiate employment terms as agent, conduct statutory right-to-work checks for Employers, or guarantee applications, interviews, hires or employment outcomes.

Users must conduct their own checks before entering an employment, commercial or other relationship. Employer approval or verification is a limited Platform control and not an endorsement or warranty.

7. User content

You retain ownership of Content you submit. You grant YokeConnect a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, format, display, transmit and moderate that Content only as necessary to operate, secure and administer the Platform, provide your chosen visibility and comply with law.

You must have the rights and permissions required to submit Content. Content must be accurate, lawful, relevant and not misleading, defamatory, discriminatory, infringing, malicious or unsafe. You are responsible for personal or confidential information you choose to disclose.

8. Acceptable use

You must not:

We may investigate and take proportionate action, including removing Content, restricting features, preserving evidence, warning users, suspending or terminating Accounts and contacting authorities where lawful and necessary.

9. Intellectual property

YokeConnect and its licensors own the Platform, software, design, branding, databases, documentation and all related intellectual property excluding User Content. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the Platform for its intended lawful purpose while your access is valid.

You may not use YokeConnect names, logos, domain names, software, database content or materials to create confusion, imply endorsement or build a competing service without written permission. Feedback may be used by YokeConnect without payment or obligation, provided it does not identify you publicly without permission.

10. Communications

We may send transactional, security, support, application, payment and legal communications to contact details associated with your Account. Marketing is sent only where permitted and can be unsubscribed from without affecting necessary service messages.

Messages between users are stored and protected as described in the Privacy Policy. They are not end-to-end encrypted. Authorised access may occur for reports, support, safety, security or legal compliance.

11. Third-party services

The Platform may use or link to payment pages, maps, meeting links, company registries, external websites and other third-party services. Their availability, content, security and privacy practices are controlled by the relevant provider. YokeConnect is not responsible for a third party's independent acts, except where law provides otherwise.

12. Privacy and cookies

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal data is processed. Our Cookie Notice explains essential cookies, browser storage, Cloudflare security, Stripe payment pages and map requests. No third-party behavioural analytics or advertising trackers are installed at launch.

13. Availability and changes

We use reasonable care to operate the Platform but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. Maintenance, security work, launch controls, internet failures, provider outages and events outside reasonable control may affect availability.

We may change, improve, restrict or discontinue public or free features. Material changes to paid Services are governed by the applicable Subscription Terms. We may update these terms for legal, security, operational or product reasons and will give reasonable notice of material changes where practicable.

14. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the public website at any time. Registered users may request Account closure. We may restrict, suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary for breach, non-payment, fraud, unlawful activity, safety, security, data misuse, repeated complaints, legal compliance or protection of the Platform and users.

Where appropriate, we will explain the action and provide an opportunity to respond. Urgent action may be taken without notice where delay would create material risk. Data is handled after closure under the Privacy Policy and any applicable Subscription Terms or DPA.

15. Disclaimers

Public information and User Content are provided for general information. We do not warrant that every job, profile, message, business record, salary, qualification, reference or third-party link is complete, accurate, current or suitable. Users must perform their own due diligence.

Nothing on YokeConnect is legal, immigration, tax, employment, financial, medical or other professional advice. Obtain appropriate advice for decisions that require it.

16. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Statutory consumer rights are not affected.

We are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach or failure to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for unforeseeable loss, business losses suffered by a consumer, employment decisions, User Content, conduct of other users or events outside our reasonable control, except where law requires otherwise.

For paid Services, liability is governed by the applicable Subscription Terms. For free website use by a business, and subject to liabilities that cannot be limited, YokeConnect's total liability arising from these terms will not exceed GBP 100.

17. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Please contact us first so we can investigate any dispute. Businesses agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Consumers may use the courts available under mandatory law in their home jurisdiction.

18. General

If a provision is invalid, the remainder continues. A delay in enforcement is not a waiver. You may not transfer an Account or these terms. We may transfer them as part of a genuine corporate reorganisation, financing or sale, provided legal rights are not materially reduced. No third party may enforce these terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
